The next conservation day is Tuesday 6th July.
Open to 3rd Form bronze dofe pupils. Please sign up in D1 any lunchtime.
It will involve removal of alien species from a local wetland nature reserve.

Another successful conservation day. This time for new 3rd years who worked well in the rain. Scrub clearance near Salfords cricket club.
All 4th years going on the Bronze qualifying hike (and one 3rd year group) – meet in D1 on Wednesday 28 April at 1.30pm.
NEWS: Current 4th year Bronze pupils continuing with Silver in the 5th form can enrol on the RGS Police Course which starts in September 2010. The Police Course counts as a SKILL and is an official course run by the Police. It runs for about 10 weeks on Tuesdays 4 – 5pm at school, usually Room 1.
It’s a popular course so sign up soon – get your name down at the dofe office.

Here are provisional hike dates for Gold expeditions in the first part of 2011. These will be of interest to those in the current 5th form who are intending to do the DofE Gold in their L6.
Gold qualifying Morocco expedition Feb 19 – 17 (exact dates to be confirmed)
Gold training April 1 – 5 Pennines or S Wales (tbc)
Gold qualifying UK July 9 – 14
There will not be an August expedition in 2011. Please keep July dates free if you wish to qualify in 2011 and are not going to Morocco.
