The Silver hike is a three-day expedition across the South Downs starting at Lewes Station and finishing at Arundel Station.
Unfortunately, due to Covid19 restrictions, we again cannot stay at campsites. This means travelling to and from the start and finish points every day. Details about travel arrangements and locations are set out below.
The email has information about camping and kit. This webpage is only about travel arrangements and locations.
Thank you to parents in advance for your help in allowing this expedition to take place.
Travel to the start each day:
You are responsible for travelling to the start points every day. Please arrange with your parents how you are getting to each start point. There is no school transport available. On Day1 we encourage you to travel to Lewes Station by train. Book tickets in advance.
Getting home each day:
On Day 1 and Day 2 coaches will be at the finish to transport you back to RGS (PMH car park) at the end of Day 1 and Day 2. Please call home once the coach leaves to update parents on arrival time at RGS where they should pick you up.
On Day 3 you finish at Arundel Station. You are encouraged to catch the train home. Book a ticket in advance. Please organise your own transport home at the end of the hike. There is no school transport home provided on Day 3.
